- Curel Lotion or Dove bath/shower products.
- Hair inhibiting lotions and depilatory products (Nair,
Veet, Neet, etc.)
- Anti-aging products that "renew" or otherwise
exfoliate skin.
- AHA's (Alpha Hydroxy Acids -glycolic, lactic, Malic,
citric and Tartaric acids)
- BHA's (Beta Hydroxy Acids-salicylic acid)
- Retin-A type products (Retin-A, Renova, Tazorac,
Tretinoin) and anti-acne products (Accutane,
Salicylic acid, etc)
- Toners containing alcohol or witch hazel
- Makeup removers
- Bar soaps (especially the deodorant varieties),
and/or medicated soaps.
- Harsh scrubbing with loofas, bath mitts, etc. (To
protect your tan, wash your skin with a soft
washcloth or soft poof).
- Band Aids or adhesive tape applied to skin can pull
the "tan" off.
- Facial masks, exfoliating scrubs, and "Biore"-type
facial pore strips
- Hair removal wax
- Dull razors
- Body bleach products
- Submersion in hot tubs, swimming pools, and salt
water - (waterproof sunblock helps; try "Bullfrog")
- Soaking in long baths
- Bug spray (when sprayed directly onto skin)
